There’s this AI app that keeps showing up on my feed…
One of those futuristic ones that can bring someone you’ve lost back into the room.
They’re sitting at your dining table… smiling, talking…
Like time bent for a moment and said, “Here you go.”
Pretty insane, right?
But funny enough — my mind didn’t go to anyone I’ve lost.
It went somewhere completely different.
It made me think about the versions of ourselves we sometimes wish we could meet.
The “what-if” versions.
The “if only I started earlier” versions.
The “I wonder who I’d be today if I hadn’t held myself back in that moment” versions.
Because if AI can bring back loved ones… It can also show you an eerie glimpse of who you could have been.
And that thought?
That one hit me.
It’s exciting…
And a little unsettling.
Hope and discomfort living in the same breath.
Everyone’s throwing around hot takes about AI right now.
Some people are hyped.
Some people are panicking.
Most people are stuck at the surface.
But here’s the real truth:
Two things can be true at once.
AI is replacing jobs.
AND it’s creating entire new industries from scratch.
AI can automate customer service perfectly.
AND suddenly speaking to a real human feels like a premium experience.
AI can generate new episodes of iconic shows.
AND it can completely ruin the endings we held sacred.
Duality is the new default.
I’ve been diving deeper into AI lately — not just the tools, but the ripple effects… What it means for business, for dentistry, for leadership, for human potential. And I’ll be honest — I’m excited. But I’m also sitting with the responsibility of it.
AI is neutral. What we choose to build with it… isn’t.
So here’s my question for you:
